Silver-graphite Contacts

Silver graphite contacts are made by uniformly mixing silver powder and graphite powder, pressing, and sintering which are very suitable for mass production. They are mainly used for protection switches, such as miniature circuit breakers, leakage protection switches, or engine protection switches. Silver nickel or copper is often used for matching contacts. Common silver graphite contact materials include AgC3, AgC4, and AgC5. Its anti-welding ability increases with the increase of graphite content, but the resistance will also increase and the conductivity will deteriorate.

Silver graphite classification, is divided into:

 Horizontal direction

Vertical

Free Direction

Vertical fiber-reinforced silver graphite electrical contacts have been widely used in the field of miniature circuit breakers and molded case circuit breakers as static contacts at home and abroad due to their good electrical conductivity, low and stable contact resistance, and excellent anti-welding ability.

The processing method of parallel structure silver graphite material is different from that of ordinary vertical structure silver graphite material. In the production and preparation of large-scale silver graphite contacts, it can obtain denser silver graphite material than ordinary vertical structure silver graphite material.
